Program Overview

The Academy's Curriculum

At The Academy, before- and after-school hours become a springboard for K–8 learners. Kids finish homework, jump into themed projects, and mix with friends in activities that spark both imagination and teamwork. Each week brings new STEM experiments, story and literacy games, math-in-disguise challenges, art sessions, and community-building circles. The result is a lively blend of academic support and creative play that helps children grow socially, think critically, and lay down the habits of lifelong learners and future leaders.

Tuition & Billing

We keep payments predictable by spreading the cost evenly across the school year.

How we calculate it:

  • Total annual tuition covers 180 school days.
  • We divide that amount by 10 billing months (August–May).
  • You pay the same flat rate each month, no matter how many school days fall in that month.

This way, whether a month has 10, 15, or 20 days in session, your bill never changes—making it easier to plan and budget all year long.

Prorated Tuition

We understand that every family’s situation is unique, so we offer prorated tuition for new enrollments. This way, you only pay for the days your child actually attends. The only upfront cost is the registration fee, ensuring a simple and straightforward start to your child’s enrollment.

Payment Schedule

Tuition is due on the first of each month. We keep the process straightforward so you can stay focused on your child, not on paperwork. Need to talk through payment methods or set up reminders? Just let us know—our team is happy to help.

School Breaks and Early Release Days

Please note that non-school days, such as breaks, are not included in the monthly tuition. Early Release days are also not included into the tuition, as they require additional hours of care. These school break programs are additional services provided by The Academy, which is why they have separate fees.

  • 10% off state/federal worker tuition

  • 15% off Military/Veteran 

  • 15% off First Responder

  • 50% off for Wake Prep or ALA Employees

Early Release Days

 1:30-5:30PM 

(Please note AM programs require at least 6 students and may not be available at all campuses.)

AM Schedule

Schedule Breakdown:

  • Meet & Greet (10 minutes)
  • Open Centers/Arts and Crafts (50 minutes)
  • Closing (5 minutes)

*AM Snacks are not provided, but students are welcome to bring breakfast from home or eat breakfast in the cafeteria at select schools.

PM Schedule

Schedule Breakdown:

  • Meet & Greet (15 minutes)
  • Snack Time (15 minutes)
  • Homework/Small Group Activities (45 minutes)
  • Reading- Individual, Partner & Whole Group (10 minutes)
  • Active Games/Physical Activities (45 minutes)
  • Large Group Activities (35 minutes)
  • Goodbyes/Closing Centers (15 minutes)

*Snacks are provided for PM students.
**Pre-K at Wake Prep must bring their own snacks.

Registration Fee: A non-refundable $59.00 registration fee is due at the time of enrollment. For families with multiple children attending, a non-refundable $99.00 registration fee is due at the time of enrollment.
